Friday 2nd March: New post! Oh you lucky people…unfortunately I won’t be going into great detail about my recent trip to Las Vegas, mostly because I can’t remember much of it!  I will just highlight the best bits for me which were:

Tropicana Resort – Beach Cafe = for their amazing burgers and real chips!

Grand Canyon Helicopter Tour = amazing views (but I recommend flying from Vegas if you can afford it)

Cirque Du Soleil = we saw Zumanity which is an 18+ and you’ll see why when you watch the link, I call it “Arty Soft Porn” – it was amazing!

Anyway, back to Friday in London, so after dinner and wine at the trusty Mildred’s Restaurant I went to Freedom Bar in Soho.  It is a busy bar with a mixed crowd, predominantly known as a gay bar, I would say it is probably about 50% straight bar too.

Downstairs is where the dancefloor is (together with an excess amount of smoke machine mist).  It is also where I enjoyed a lot of people watching until the vodka kicked in!  Watching people “dancing” with one of the two poles on the dancefloor, to be specific.  It was hilarious!

The highlight of the night for me was when a guy was pulling some OTT “sexy” moves whilst looking seducingly at his boyfriend, when one of our friends jumped up to join him and mirror his moves, including the finger-in-mouth pose and then spinning around the pole simultaneously…quite the skill.

It reminded me of this: Dance Off!

About Hayles

Living in and loving London, I like to cram in as much as possible. I have a lot of different hobbies which I start on a whim and most of the time abandon for something else! My current interests include film, TV, music, comedy, art, photography, theatre and finding new yummy food establishments. Mostly I just love to experience the many joys and wonders that London offers. I started this blog to help me remember what I've actually done at the end of each year, but now I actually really enjoy writing and sharing what I hope is funny and/or useful information.
