Night in SE1 and Tooting (Tram & Social)

Friday 18th February: Met some peeps at Jacks Lounge which is behind Southwark Station on a quaint little street with other bars and restaurants.  The bar was quite trendy with the DJ perched upstairs overlooking the main area.  He played some old -skool tracks too all to a funky beat, so the place gained some brownie points with me.

Drinks aren’t too pricey, a round for 6 people came to about 30 quid.  It emptied out a bit by about 9pm so I suggested we headed back to Clapham for drinks.

I managed to convince my friends, including the birthday boy, into not going to Infernos which is a god-awful place where one should only go when one is very, very, very, very….very drunk!

Instead we went to Tooting Tramshed where I knew they had a good night on being hosted by John Kennedy of XFM Radio.  We got there in time to see the end of the last band’s set which did sound pretty awesome…The Duke Spirit

John then played some brilliant tracks as always, we left at about 2am.  I can’t speak highly enough about the Tramshed, it is “wicked” but if you go, look out for their ‘The Remedy’ nights which are once a month, the next being on the 25th March.  I admit I have a slight obsession with John Kennedy now, I’ve said it once and I will say it again..GIVE ME A JOB JOHN!!!!  Love you.

All my friends admitted openly to me that they loved the night at Tram, it re-establishes the fact that I have awesome taste…in everything haha

Want something to do tomorrow?  Check out the new exhibition at Museum of London called London Street Photography, it’s got excellent reviews already and launched last night.

About Hayles

Living in and loving London, I like to cram in as much as possible. I have a lot of different hobbies which I start on a whim and most of the time abandon for something else! My current interests include film, TV, music, comedy, art, photography, theatre and finding new yummy food establishments. Mostly I just love to experience the many joys and wonders that London offers. I started this blog to help me remember what I've actually done at the end of each year, but now I actually really enjoy writing and sharing what I hope is funny and/or useful information.
